Catholic Monks

The primary Magic Users associatted with the Catholic Church, many are Jesuits. These monks claim to channel Divine Power into their spells and indeed many are either endowed with True Faith or are Blessed. But most are not, they are just Shamanistic Spell Casters with self imposed restrictions like all other Shamanistic Spell Casters

Monks are the frontline magical fighters for the Church against Demons, Sorcerors and anything else the Church deems is "Evil"

Spell Colleges

• +2 to Healing College
• +1 to Food College
• +2 to Fire College
• +1 to Protection and Warning
• +4 to the Banish Spell [This is the only Necromantic Spell Monks can Cast]
• -2 to Mind Control College
• -2 to Animal College
• -1 to Plant College
• -1 to Body Control College
• Cannot cast Necromantic Spells or Summoning Spells of any type

Catholic Monks also have some other restrictions

Advantages

• Patron Catholic Church [Power: Giant Multinational +30, Fairly Often x1, Special Abilities +50% = +45]
• Claim to Hospitaility All Churches and Catholic Establishments, Devout Catholics etc. [+10]

And Disadvantages

• Duty Fairly Often [-5]
• Disiplines of Faith [Ritualism -5] Some Monks go further and take Monasticism or Asceticism but they are not required by the Church.
• Intolerance [-10] [All non-Catholics]
• Pacifism [-5] [Cannot Harm Innocents, at -5 because if the Church determines that someone is not an Innocent, they can harm them]
• Honesty CR9 [-15]

They also need to take some Skills

• Theology - Catholicism [2 points]
• Exorcism [2 points]
• Religious Ritual [2 points]

There are of course Sub-Orders of even more dedicated Monks such as the Jesuit Rapid Response Team and the Franciscan Knights of Purity, both are fanatical Catholic Orders.

• Honesty CR6 [-10] at -10 because only has to be Honest with members of the Church and Order, all others do not have the right to ask questions
• Fanatism [-15 points]
